Robert 'Bob' Joseph Gonzalez, 74, Of Hasbrouck Heights

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. — Robert “Bob” Joseph Gonzalez, of Hasbrouck Heights, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016. He was 74.

He was born July 24, 1942, in Hackensack, the son of the late William and Irene (Saffery) Gonzalez.

Raised in Hasbrouck Heights, he graduated from Hasbrouck Heights High School in 1960 and went on to receive a bachelor's degree in business administration from Farleigh Dickenson University. He was a real estate broker for more than 35 years and was licensed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida.

He was a very kind, loving and generous man who could make everyone around him smile. He was known by many for being an engaged conversationalist with a knack for telling stories. He enjoyed life to the fullest with a great love of family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Bottjer) Gonzalez; daughter, Laura Gonzalez-Allesch (and husband Steven); son, William Gonzalez (and fiancé Melissa); grandchildren, Nicholas Saccoccio, Joseph Gonzalez, Daniel Gonzalez and Anna Gonzalez; and brothers.

Funeral services will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont.
